CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Out of our tight academic schedule we dedicate a significant amount of time to activities that students enjoy. Extracurricular activities play an integral role in students’ development, they improve their academic performance, foster interpersonal relationships, increase motivation and self-esteem, and benefit in generating favourable personal, intellectual and social habits and help students manage and better organize their leisure time. There are countless benefits of outdoor activities. Children get to enjoy and spend quality time as well as get to develop great bonding experiences. Sapient Hall holds Ten-pin Bowling, field trips, hiking trips and interclass football/cricket matches which give students ample opportunity to enrich their education from social, athletic and individual perspective.

As food is often the highlight of a party, we also host on campus bonfire and BBQ night which is another opportunity for kids to mingle with their friends. Education of young minds cannot be restricted to class; it takes a lot more to give them exposure and experience while at the same time allow them to grow as people and teach them valuable lessons about life.

CAREER DAY

The goal of education is to prepare students for the future, so nothing brings this reality home more than hosting a career day at school. We make a personalized effort to acclimatize our students to the requirements of practical life by holding a Career Day every year. For students of grade 7 onwards career day is a great opportunity to get thinking about their personal interests and goals. The career day is an inspirational event. Our worthy guest speakers speak from their heart and inform students about what traits and qualifications they need to have under their belt to succeed in life.  Our students absorb some important and relevant information from our highly professional guest speakers.

COMPETITIONS

Holding a variety of competitions has extemporaneously become an important part of school life. Education and competitions cannot be separated. There are a number of competitions held throughout the academic year at Sapient Hall. By making participation obligatory for all the students, we intend to imbibe multitasking and enhance mental toughness along with intrinsic motivation to bring out academically competitive heroes hidden in each one of our students. Each year is better than the previous year in terms of students’ response to the various competitions based on retention of famous quotes, debates, extempore speeches, recitation-translation of Quranic verses and submission of a science project.

Recycling and re-use of the materials helps in conservation of important raw material and protect natural habitats for future.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

CLUB ACTIVITIES

Sapient Hall firmly believes that formal education goes hand in hand with training and exposure. School is a place where children are mentally, physically and spiritually trained for their impromptu future lives. Experiences offered at school guide them to become confident and self-assertive people. So, the school becomes the practice ground for children, as they might find their part-time careers in unconventional fields such as drama, music or become entrepreneurs of an adventure club.

Our club activities are generally held twice a year. Besides providing a time out from our tough academic schedule, the four clubs; Art, Drama, Adventure and Brainiac inculcate some vital social skills in students. It has been observed that club activities create small communities of students who share the same interests such as in music, arts, or sports. Club activities help students to develop a sense of unity and teamwork, learning how to work with others in reaching the same goals.

SPECIAL DAYS

Courtesy Day, Discipline Day, Hygiene Day, Pakistan Resolution Day, Defence Day, National Dress Day, Fruit Day, Colour Day (for PG) Teachers’ Day, Quaid-e-Azam Day and Iqbal Day; at Sapient Hall each of the special days that we celebrate with our children is also a treasured learning experience besides providing some space to the children during regular school days. By celebrating a number of special days throughout the year we adhere to our belief ‘Show, Don’t Tell’ and again this is deeply rooted in activity-based learning

SPORTS WEEK

School is as much about learning various skills as it is about academics. Running, catching, bouncing, passing, dribbling, tackling, blocking, scoring… is what eyes can see. The playground plays a vital role in teaching some necessary problem solving skills. Our sports week, a highly anticipated event at Sapient Hall, hosts different sports. It is a fortnight of excitement, thrill, hope, energy, ambition and endless fun. Each year hundreds of participants enthusiastically take part in various games. The major events are basketball, football, cricket, table tennis, badminton, races, tug of war, martial arts and athletics.

We inculcate sportsman spirit, stress tolerance, physical fitness and unity as a team among our students. It seeds in the personality to respect others, compete with honesty, develop courage and team work and above all self-respect.

Throughout the week, different games are played. A tough competition takes place among the houses where the sole goal is to be “The Champions”.
These two weeks culminate in a painstakingly organized sports ceremony. It is a spectacle of “another level” which comprises a wide array of mesmerizing performances by all grades. The annual sports ceremony is marked by passion, zest, colours, music and breathtaking synchronized movements by both boys and girls. In the end winners of different sports are announced and the winner house is given a trophy.

The candidates are shortlisted according to their academic achievements and students from grade 4 onwards along with the staff members cast votes. Students’ elections are held twice in a session. Candidates as well as voters are full of anticipation and effervescence during the entire process whether it is delivering speeches or voting itself. Elections breathe life into our students as they are seen campaigning energetically to develop a decent vote bank. We teach our students to compete with dignity and fairness. We emphasize on free and fair elections as this is the essence and base of democracy.

FIELD TRIPS

Field Trips are considered an important part of a child’s learning experience. They offer practical understanding of various aspects related to general knowledge and are pretty stimulating. At Sapient Hall, we arrange field trips during an academic session. The destinations are chosen keeping in view their educational value combined with the stimulating effect they can have on the students. Special emphasis is always laid on all the administrative and security arrangements. It is an optional activity for the students. Parents are generally encouraged to ensure the participation of their children for obvious benefits of such trips.
